Oto oni:
Nominowani gracze roku 2004 (Quake) :
- Anton Singov - Cooller (territory.ru , Russia)
"*The most celebrated Russian player ever and ZeRo4's biggest nightmare. He won the winners bracket final at the Cyber X Games having beaten elpajuo and ZeRo4 - that earned him an unofficial #1 spot as the tournament has not been finished. Placed fourth at QLAN2, was captain of the Russian squad at ESCW which took third place but Cooller won all his games, including the one with ZeRo4 against America. At QuakeCon Cooller took third place, having lost only Aerowalk to ZeRo4 and czm, a map he had barely practiced. Continuously stalwart and a very extraordinary character, his in-game quotes are very often used on IRC.
CXG #1, QLAN2 #4, ESWC #3, QCon #3*"
- Paul Nelson - czm (519/cK , USA)
"*America's number one player this year. Czm finished second at QLAN2, a tournament that finished very late or... very early - depending how you look at it. He also took the #1 spot with Cloud9 for CTF at the same event, beating all the top European clans. He then captained the US team at the ESWC and was probably the most indomitable player for his country and, in the eyes of many, was the player of the event. Over a month later, czm won the QuakeCon 2004 duelling tournament.
QLAN2 #2, QLAN2 CTF #1, ESWC #2, QCon #1*"
- Karl Johansson - fooKi (Frames per Second, Sweden)
"*Sweden's prodigy this year. He proved to be the #1 dueler at QLAN2 and after that performance nobody could question whether he deserved a spot in the Swedish ESWC team. FooKi opened up the game in the final against the Swedes (dominated cha0ticz on DM6) and although they won the tournament, he was the only Swedish player to have won all his matches.
QLAN2 #1, ESWC #1*"
- Magnus Olsson - fox (SK Gaming, Sweden)
"*Fox won the TDM tournament at QLAN2 with iCE cLIMBERS and showed he is as solid a player as ever, and he is a player of considerable stature indeed. Fox went to the Electronic Sports World Cup with Sweden and he was one of the most important men in their lineup. Although he lost his group play game on Aerowalk versus czm (with a tied score towards the end it was decided by who would spawn closer to the RA after a double kill) but rehabilitated himself by beating ZeRo4 in the championship decider.
QLAN2 TDM #1, ESWC #1*"
- John Hill - ZeRo4 (519, USA)
"*The American started the year reaching the final of the lower bracket of the Cyber X Games, having lost to elpajuo in group play and Cooller in the upper bracket (after an amazing set of games). Technically that earns him a #2 spot shared with elpajuo who was with him in the lb final. ZeRo4 then took second place at the ESWC, where he was seconds away from beating his nemesis Cooller (in the semi final) and took it to overtime versus fox on a map he had played about a dozen times in his life. ZeRo4 finished up by taking second at QCon where he finally managed to get past Cooller, but lost to czm in the grand final.
CXG top 3, ESWC #2, QCon #2*"
Nominacje na najwiekszy postęp w grze (Quake) :
- Paul Nelson - czm (519/cK , USA)
"*Czm has been around in Quake 3 for ages but like proZaC, never seemed to perform up to his TDM standards in duelling. This year Czm's duelling prowess was nearly godlike: he beat players like Z4muZ, Cooller, fox and ZeRo4 and became the one player to beat in Quake 3 himself.
QLAN2 #2, QLAN2 CTF #1, ESWC #2, QCon #1*"
- Alejandro Gonzalez - elpajuo (Styles Unknown, Venezuela)
"*Always known for his CPMA skills, elpajuo entered the Cyber X Games as cannon fodder but left Las Vegas with his head up very high. He beat ZeRo4 in group play and stayed alive in the tournament until the very moment when the servers were removed from the perimeter. This put him on a shared #2 spot with ZeRo4. elpajuo gave a few good showings in GGL ladders later on as well.
GGL 2003 Season #1, CXG top 3, GGL 2004 Season #3*"
- Sergei Orehov - evil (Asus Cyberfight, Russia)
"*Fairly unknown internationally, evil earned himself a lot of respect in Russian LAN tournaments where overall, he performed better than any other Russian player (inclusive of Cooller). At ESWC, evil covered Aerowalk and was a strong point for Russia in all his games except for his duel with czm. His last tournament appearance of the year is noteworthy for his wonderful double air rocket versus Cooller on DM6.
ESWC #3, Asus Winter Cup #1, Asus Autumn Cup #1*"
- Karl Johansson - fooKi (Frames per Second, Sweden)
"*fooKi received a lot of flak on websites but persisted in closing the mouths of his critics time and again. He won the QLAN2 tournament beating czm in the final and proved that DM6 is his home ground when he gave cha0ticz no chance in the ESWC final. He was also the only unbeaten Swede at the ESWC.
QLAN2 #1, ESWC #1*"
- ndrei Rachnikov - morfez (Asus Cyberfight, Russia)
"*Morfez proved that Russian Quake is more than just Cooller. Although he did not shine as brightly as fooKi, for example, he did evince skill. He gave a decent showing at QLAN2, where he beat reef, czm, rat and lost 2-1 in maps to fooKi. He also won one of the Russian Asus Cups, where he beat Cooller in the final and won his way into the Russian ESWC team.
ESWC #3, Asus Spring Cup #1*"
